RANA Meeting Minutes for March 2007

• Chairperson's Report - Mike was absent, Mark T was acting Chairperson.  NO REPORT
• 1st Treasurers Report - Starting Balance $707.20
• Regional Subcommittee Report - Copies of minutes available for review.  Also included, a synopsis by Etta S.
• Activities Report - No report
• Newsletter Report - Submitted by Tish G - Written
• H & I Report - There is no committee at this time
• Literature Report - Submitted by Danny B - Written
• PI (Public Information) Report - Submitted by Kim S. - Written
• Bylaws Subcommittee Report - Submitted by Tish G. - Written
• Sharing Session -
• Kim S. - suggests motion to provide money to subcommittee members required to attend annual/bi-annual meetings to cover travel expenses.
• Etta S. - Members are only required to attend meetings in their quadrant (locality), and that all other meetings are optional.  Etta also brings up that indigent packages were discussed at the regional meeting.
• Danny B. - Annual convention is a celebration of recovery and doesn't think that NA money should be spent on indigent packages.
• Mark T. - Regional subcommittee should set aside time to discuss the possibility of providing indigent packages to those who whish to attend.
• Greg G. - Questions if our area has enough money to provide indigent packages
• Sara T. - Suggests that sponsors should, if able, step up and provide opportunity for their sponsee's to attend.
• Steve W. - Suggests that it should go to home groups and if they want to do it they should sponsor members to attend.
• Jeff W. - Agrees with Steve
• Old Business - The vote to determine the amount of money to go to Regional was still under debate, there was a bylaws sub-committee held to determine the final outcome.
• New Business - Jeff W. volunteered and was voted in as the new H & I chairperson

• General Information - Submission by Tish G., requesting to know if there is anyone responsible for keeping tabs on the time that our area service members have held their positions at area service.  Also, there is new information about the GSR meeting to be held this month, unfortunately, I was unable to download the file or contact anyone with the new information.  GSR's should note this on their information form.
